Raffles’ Response to Covid-19

Raffles’ Response to Covid-19

Raffles is implementing a phased recovery of operations to ensure a safe learning environment for students. Currently, both 3YC and Master courses for February are set to start with a hybrid learning environment featuring both online and offline activities.

Stages of Recovery

As we approach a phased recovery of the school’s operations in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, Raffles will need to define a ’new normal’ for our campus environment. Recovery will prioritise safety while using mitigation measures to allow the campus to restart low-risk activities.

Raffles’ recovery process is shaped in stages, all designed to be scaled up or down depending on the environment and public health context in that particular time period. The stages are guided by the Lombardy region’s rules and regulations and will not accelerate the return stages beyond the state’s recommendations.

Current Policies and Status

Since March 2020, Raffles Milano has been dedicated to ensuring continuity of teaching and learning activities, implementing a profound internal reorganisation to cope with the rapidly changing policies and scenario.

Raffles Milano has adapted measures to ensure:

  • A safe campus with all social distancing regulations and safety measures in place including :
    • temperature checks, monitoring of all those entering school premises and the flow of students, strict adherence to room occupancy numbers
    • frequent cleaning and sanitation of all surfaces, enhanced ventilation and air flow to all areas, and periodic covid testing for all staff.
  • High quality online classes streamlined through a dedicated online platform
  • No delay in any of the curriculum and graduation
  • Continuity of extracurricular activities such as workshops, online talks and meetings with professionals in the design field

Starting February 2021, we return to face-to-face teaching for practical lessons on campus with methodological lectures being taught online.

Italy and Covid-19

The vaccination process has started in Italy in early January 2021. The Italian Government is committed to complete the vaccination process in September 2021. This makes Italy one of the fastest vaccinating countries in European Union. Information about the vaccination process in Italy can be found through the Italian Government webpage.

Moving Forward October 2021

October 2021 intake for 3YC and Master Courses is now open for applications. With strict adherence to safety measures and the region’s regulations all courses are set to start on time.

Raffles is continuing to offer scholarship programs for both 3YC and Master Courses, as well as special deals such as the Early Bird scholarships for Three – Year and Master Courses. We want to encourage and support talents both in Italy and Internationally to move forward with their future. We hope that we can empower students to apply to their desired course as early as a year before and seek financial assistance if necessary.

We carry on with bigger hopes to return fully to on-campus classes in October, 2021.

Raffles Milano continues to design the future! Are you with us?
